POOR POSTURE CAN BE CORRECTED – The Enfield Posture Clinic has created a scientific 4-Step Process to Detect and Correct Poor Posture.
Step 1: Evaluation
We begin by taking a detailed medical history, this enables us to determine which health factors may be predisposing to bad posture or which may be helped by good posture. Next we analyse your posture using computerized postural analysis and digital imagery to create your Posture Number. The higher this number is, the further from normal your posture has become. Your posture number becomes the reference point for future evaluations. You’ll see your number come down as your posture improves over time. We then proceed to an examination of your muscular and skeletal system, employing orthopedic and neurological testing.
Step 2: Osteopathic Treatment
Posture correction requires hands-on treatment. Mr Glen Daniels M.Ost utilizes a range of gentle and precise joint mobilization, massage and stretching techniques to enable the postural corrections to occur.
Step 3: Postural Reprogramming
Hands on therapy is not enough! Postural reprogramming requires the completion of a short and easy to follow home exercise program. The exercises are designed to stretch and/or strengthen targeted muscle groups and to reprogram the nervous system to adopt a new and improved posture profile.
Step 4: Re-Evaluation
Osteopathic healthcare relies on a system of ongoing re-evaluations, to determine the progress being made. By evaluating your posture and muscular-skeletal s system, you’ll know how much progress you’ve made, how much your posture has improved, and how much better your body is functioning as a whole.
